I’m especially missing Birgitta at this time. In May, she’d always phone me when she and Chet returned to N.H. I can hear her voice saying, “Hi, Pat. We’re back at Deer Park for the summer. When can you come up to swim and go to lunch?” She was a lovely lady and I can only wish we’d become friends sooner when we were first at Deer Park, back in 1996. It was a privilege to have her as a friend for almost 14 years. I know she’s at peace wherever she is now and is sharing stories of her wonderful travels with Chet and her girls. Summer won’t be the same without her this year.
